DAILY ITINERARY
Arrival
Welcome to Orbite Campus
- Check in
- Meet your Astronaut Trainer
- Welcome Reception
- Group Dinner
Upon arriving at the Orbite Campus, guests will be escorted to their accommodations after a short tour of the Astronaut Training Campus. You will meet with your Astronaut Training Instructor for a short consultation regarding your spaceflight objectives before enjoying a relaxing evening and welcome reception at the l’Etoile Restaurant.
DAY 1
SPACEFLIGHT EDUCATION & VR TRAINING
- Astronaut Orientation Classroom Curriculum
- VR Spacecraft Hangar Experience
- VR Spaceflight Experience
- The Overview Effect
- Vehicle Simulator Encounter
- Group Dinner
Your first day is dedicated to stimulating your intellect and emotions about what it is like to fly to space including the powerful emotions that are often accompanied by the Overview Effect!
You begin in the classroom learning about rocketry, orbital mechanics, human physiology in the space environment, and the difference between suborbital and orbital spaceflight. You then tour the fleet of existing and future spacecraft and mission types in Orbite’s virtual reality training environment. Enjoy a zero to hero boost to your space IQ!
DAY 2
MICROGRAVITY TRAINING
- Microgravity Flight
- Regravitation Celebration
- Living in Space
- Group Dinner
Ready to float in space like an astronaut? You begin your second day with a briefing on microgravity flight and learning techniques for safely maneuvering in space before boarding transport to the microgravity aircraft.
Inside the aircraft you will experience the microgravity of Mars, the Moon and how suborbital and orbital true weightlessness feels like as you are high above Orbite’s training campus. Back on the ground you will celebrate that you are one step closer to space via the Regravitation Ceremony!
Conclude your amazing day with a tutorial on what it is like to live in space and experience it first hand in our Living in Space laboratory.
DAY 3
HIGH G-FORCE TRAINING & CEREMONY
- Visualization & Meditation
- Launch & Reentry G Force Briefing
- Learn the Anti-G Straining
- Maneuver Technique
- Spaceflight Mission
- G Force Centrifuge flights
- Personal Reflections & Quiz
- Graduation
- Ceremony Dinner
On the third and final day of Astronaut Orientation you will begin your day with a meditation and visualization class to understand ways to manage stress properly including applying breathing techniques and focus based meditation. After a briefing on g forces and why they are important in spaceflight, you will climb inside a spacecraft cabin and get to feel actual acceleration forces in multiple realistic spacecraft mission profiles that will help you understand what one must undergo to escape and re-enter Earth’s atmosphere. Your day ends with a personal reflection discussion and quiz on what you’ve learned followed by a fantastic graduation ceremony and celebratory dinner!
DEPARTURE
FOND FAREWELL
