CONGRATS TO VIRGIN GALACTIC on its fifth flight, which made three new astronauts today. They included two research scientists (Alan Stern VG astronaut 020, Kelli Gerardi VG astronaut 021) and one other private passenger (Ketty Maisonrouge VG astronaut 022). The Galactic05 craft went to suborbital space, reaching 54.2 miles (87.2 kilometers) at peak altitude.

**MEET OUR ADVISORS**

CHARLIE PRECOURT -- RET. NASA ASTRONAUT / AEROSPACE EXECUTIVE / ORBITE ADVISOR

Charlie Precourt is a USAF Test Pilot, retired NASA Astronaut and Space Shuttle Commander, Chief of the Astronaut Corps, Deputy Manager International Space Station, Director of Operations for NASA at the Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City Russia, and Senior executive for Launch Systems at Alliant Tech Systems, Orbital Sciences and Northrop Grumman.

Charlie flew four Shuttle missions: STS-55 (Space Shuttle Columbia), STS-71 (Space Shuttle Atlantis), STS-84 (Space Shuttle Atlantis), and STS-91 (Space Shuttle Discovery). Notably, he piloted or commanded several missions which involved docking with the Russian Mir space station and was heavily involved in Russian/US Space relations as well as the International Space Station collaboration. He also served as Chief of the Astronaut Office from 1998 to 2002. He retired from the USAF with the rank of colonel.

Charlie supports Orbite with his expertise as we continue to develop leading astronaut training programs for modern-day astronauts and a modern destination campus where they will train.
