Antarctica's extreme environment closely mirrors the isolation and challenges of space missions, making it an ideal training ground for perspective astronauts. Become an elite explorer in this unique opportunity to experience the team camaraderie and adventure found in both polar and space exploration.
Antarctica is an ideal space analog location due to its remote isolation, multi-nation use, and extreme conditions. Everything must be brought in and carried out. There is no directional component as you are literally in every time zone at the South Pole. Also, less than 500 people have made it to the South Pole of Antartica, making it ultra unique and less visited than space itself!
Be one of the elite few to journey to the white continent to stay and train in space-inspired habitats. Participate in ‘space analog operations’ including performing various communication, research, and operational tasks with your crewmates in this extraordinary bucket-list adventure.

Arrival at Cape Town International Airport (CPT). NOTE: Due to unknown weather conditions flying to Antarctica, we ask you arrive 2 days prior to scheduled departure. Transport to our local hotel with welcome reception, safety briefing, and gear check.

After breakfast, fly to Wolf Fang Runway and settle into ECHO base camp. Surrounded by the vast, untouched white ice, you'll experience a profound sense of awe—akin to the Overview Effect.

Begin with an overview on space and habitat operations – including what it takes to create livable environments in space. Teambuilding exploration of the nearby mountains and glaciers.

Weather permitting, fly to Atka Bay to witness a vibrant Emperor penguin colony. As the only non-territorial species, curious chicks may waddle close, offering a rare, energetic spectacle—while we respectfully observe from a 5m (16.4ft) distance.

In the morning, we will simulate a space habitat scenario. You and your team will use complex problem-solving skills to resolve. After lunch, you will follow your guide on an incredible trail high above base camp, giving unparalleled panoramic views.

Fewer than 500 people have reached the Geographic South Pole—fewer than those in space! Stand at the intersection of all time zones, with ISS astronauts as your closest neighbors, before overnighting at Dixie’s Camp.

In the morning you will fly over Antartica's landscapes to return to Echo basecamp. This flight will allow you to appreciate the vastness of the seventh continent.

The last day will conclude with a final space simulation scenario and summary of the achievements thus far. In the evening, the group will gather for a last Antarctic dinner and celebration ceremony.

A final flight will take you out of the vast landscape of polar icecaps and towering mountain ranges and back to the vibrant society of Cape Town. Much like an astronaut returning from the ISS, you will reenter society a person changed.
