Upon arriving at the Orbite Campus, guests will be escorted to their accommodations after a short tour of the Astronaut Training Campus. You will meet with your Astronaut Training Instructor for a short consultation regarding your spaceflight objectives before enjoying a relaxing evening and welcome reception at the l’Etoile Restaurant.

Your first day is dedicated to stimulating your intellect and emotions about what it is like to fly to space including the powerful emotions that are often accompanied by the Overview Effect!
You begin in the classroom learning about rocketry, orbital mechanics, human physiology in the space environment, and the difference between suborbital and orbital spaceflight. You then tour the fleet of existing and future spacecraft and mission types in Orbite’s virtual reality training environment. Enjoy a zero to hero boost to your space IQ!

Ready to float in space like an astronaut? You begin your second day with a briefing on microgravity flight and learning techniques for safely maneuvering in space before boarding transport to the microgravity aircraft.
Inside the aircraft you will experience the microgravity of Mars, the Moon and how suborbital and orbital true weightlessness feels like as you are high above Orbite’s training campus. Back on the ground you will celebrate that you are one step closer to space via the Regravitation Ceremony!
Conclude your amazing day with a tutorial on what it is like to live in space and experience it first hand in our Living in Space laboratory.

On the third and final day of Astronaut Orientation you will begin your day with a meditation and visualization class to understand ways to manage stress properly including applying breathing techniques and focus based meditation. After a briefing on g forces and why they are important in spaceflight, you will climb inside a spacecraft cabin and get to feel actual acceleration forces in multiple realistic spacecraft mission profiles that will help you understand what one must undergo to escape and re-enter Earth’s atmosphere. Your day ends with a personal reflection discussion and quiz on what you’ve learned followed by a fantastic graduation ceremony and celebratory dinner!

Upon arriving at the Orbite Campus, guests will be escorted to their accommodations after a short tour of the Astronaut Training Campus. You will meet with your Astronaut Training Instructor for a short consultation regarding your spaceflight objectives as well as our Chief Medical Officer for a holistic wellness consultation before enjoying a relaxing evening and welcome reception at the l’Etoile Restaurant.

Your first day begins with a professional instructional course on everything suborbital spaceflight, including types of vehicles, flight profiles, and how to maximize the enjoyment of your out of this world experience! You then virtually tour the fleet of existing and future suborbital spacecraft followed by flying full mission profiles in Orbite’s virtual reality training environment. From here you will proceed into the spacecraft simulator training bay where your suborbital spacecraft awaits, and your familiarization training begins. Finally, enjoy a breathtaking emotional voyage as you learn about the Overview Effect and how preparing the body physically, mentally and spiritually for spaceflight is important for your once in a lifetime experience!


Day 2
Emergency Scenarios and G-Force Training

Your second day is dedicated to maximizing your precious time in space, learning safety procedures, experiencing launch and re-entry, as well as practicing emergency scenarios. The day begins with a thought-provoking exercise on what your goals are in space and how best to achieve them with efficient tips and tricks. From there you will practice executing your goals in a simulated suborbital spacecraft environment complete with real launch and re-entry g forces. Finally, in the spacecraft simulator training bay, you will practice normal and emergency scenarios to ensure you are safely and confidently prepared for anything! Conclude the day with a group chat on lessons learned and a fabulous dinner!


Day 3
High Performance Aircraft Training

Today is the day you put what you’ve learned into practical application – in the air! Start the day with a suborbital health and fitness class that will demonstrate different exercises you can do to keep your mind and body healthy for spaceflight. Afterward, a private transfer to the airport where, after a briefing, you will climb into a a high- performance acrobatic aircraft to experience the thrills of high G and zero gravity flight while you practice everything you’ve learned! Back on the ground you will be able to absorb more and feel confident knowing you are one step closer to being fully ready for your suborbital spaceflight!


Day 4
Microgravity Flight Training

On your final day, you culminate your program with actually floating in space like an astronaut! You begin your last day with a briefing on microgravity and learning advanced movement techniques. Once on the aircraft, you will be able to practice your goals in space you’ve outlined one last time in a true microgravity setting as you perform multiple parabolas high above Orbite’s training campus. Back on the ground, you will have a group discussion to recount any final reflections and take a quiz. Then off to the graduation ceremony! We conclude the day and the program with a celebration group dinner.

Orbital training begins with understanding the fundamentals and the science behind orbital spaceflight. In Week 1 you will receive a baseline medical assessment and comprehensively learn about the space environment, mission design, orbital mechanics and start to familiarize yourself with orbital vehicles and their systems.


Week 2
Human Performance & Safety

- Nominal Operations
Week 2 is dedicated to human physiology in space. By the end of the week, you will have learned the science behind how and why your body reacts to space travel and acquired techniques for coping with the adverse effects of spaceflight. You will conduct training to condition your body for launch and re-entry acceleration forces and study and simulate nominal and off nominal orbital mission flight profiles. In addition, you will be able to practice a sequence of mission events in a zero-gravity environment and fulfill a sequence of real life in-space scenarios.


Week 3
Living in Space

This week is focused on learning essential skills for living in space. You will acquire key skills to ensure your teams health and safety while in space and learn about the vehicle systems that support health and hygiene in space (such as the space toilet and shower!), food preparation, space to ground communications, fitness in space, and more. You will learn essential first aid techniques and practice scenarios that could occur on ascent, re-entry and in orbit.


Week 4
Emergency, Rescue & Survival

Spaceflight has become routine, but you still prepare for all eventualities. In week 4 you will learn about emergency scenarios, rescue, and survival operation procedures then practice range of off-nominal mission scenarios. Trainees undergo land and water rescue and survival training so that you and your crew are confidently prepared for every situation.


Week 5
Vehicle Familiarization, Suits & Gear

In week 5 you deep dive into vehicle systems, suits, and gear. Learn about important spacecraft systems such as the environmental control and life support system, the propulsion system, and the electrical power system so that you are familiar with the operating concepts and impact on mission performance. Become intimately familiar with your space suit and its basic operation and subsystems as well as studying the other equipment that you will use on your space journey.


Week 6
Vehicle Systems & Rehearsal

Week 6 builds upon Week 5 and gets into specific vehicle operations during the different phases of flight: launch, on-orbit and re-entry. You will finish your week by rehearsing scenarios and mission events while in your spacecraft simulator complete with space suit and communication with mission control. These mission rehearsals are the culmination of six intense weeks of astronaut training. Celebrate your accomplishment with your friends and family at the graduation ceremony and after party at the Orbite Yacht Club!
